The German Mass Cytometry Network (GerMaNet) provides a platform for communicating about mass cytometry, for fostering scientific and technical collaboration, and for mutual exchange of expertise and tools.

Impressions from the first User Forum 2018
GerMaNet was established in 2017 as a DFG-funded initiative to connect academic mass cytometry laboratories across Germany and to foster links with the international community. What began as a collaboration among a small number of early mass cytometry platforms rapidly developed into a vibrant network of 17 centers, with regular meetings focused on methodological and scientific advances. In 2026, GerMaNet became the first working group within the German Society for Cytometry (DGfZ).
Since 2018, the network has also been hosting the annual German Mass Cytometry User Forum (GMCUF) where German and international mass cytometry enthusiasts and experts meet to discuss the newest developments in the field, as well as their own research projects and ideas. With over 100 participants from Germany and other countries, the GMCUF has become a leading platform for exchange on mass cytometry, regularly welcoming local as well as internationally renowned experts in the field.
If you would like more information about our network and its annual meeting, please come to the German Mass Cytometry User Forum or contact us by email at: contact@massencytometry.de.
